Carmen’s husband is an American Mexican but Carmen is an illegal Mexican so when they got in a fight he called the border patrol on her and they deported her leaving their baby with him. She tried to come back again paid somebody a grand to smuggle her across the border and then when she got to her meeting place in Nogales there were the police waiting for her. She tried again with someone else’s identification this time and made it and is now grateful to be back in the States with her baby. Her and her husband have made up and everything’s bueno. She called my girlfriend yesterday to see if she wanted to have lunch at the mall.
